Monday marks the start of the plenary sessions. These daily informative discussions kick off with ISTH Council Member Steve Watson, Ph.D., of Britain’s Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences. Watson will be speaking at the Marion I. Barnhart Memorial Lecture on Platelet Signaling with his presentation entitled, “Snakes and Ladders: Identify New Roles for Platelets in Health and Disease.” It takes place from 11:15 until noon in Hall B.
At 16:45, see Marijke van den Berg, M.D., Ph.D., from the Netherlands University Hospital Utrecht present at the Kenneth M. Brinkhous Memorial Lecture. Her expertise in hemophilia is in inhibitor development and prophylaxis, and her presentation is entitled, “Hemophilia: From Royal Gene to Gene Therapy.”
