Do you know an early career professional? Are you one yourself? The Early Career Task Force (ECTF) is a group geared toward connecting like-minded colleagues at the ISTH 2017 Congress.

You can visit members of the early professionals group at their ISTH Booth (#200) during breaks. Here is a link to the ECTF webpage. You can also engage by using the hashtag #ISTHECTF on Twitter.

Complimentary Master Class Sessions offer a great start to the day. They are held in the CityCube, room R2-R11 at 7:00. Master Class Sessions target Young Investigators and Reach-the-World participants who are interested in the unlimited possibilities of meeting with a leader in the field.

Thank you to the established leaders who are willing to share their time and expertise for those in line behind them. Thanks also to the young professionals for your interest in carrying the torch to build upon the fine work done in pursuit of better patient outcomes!

The Tuesday plenary sessions are as follows:

At 11:15, Peter Carmeliet, M.D., Ph.D., from Belgium will present on Vascular Diseases and Metabolism. His talk is entitled, “Angiogenesis Revisited: Role and (Therapeutic) Implications of Endothelial Metabolism.”

From 16:45 to 17:30, Harry R. Büller, M.D., Ph.D., from the Netherlands Academic Medical Center will speak on Management of Thromboembolism. Dr. Büller’s talk is entitled, “Treatment of Venous Thromboembolism in 2017.”

Would you like to contribute to a good cause while burning some calories? End the day by making a difference. Take part in the ISTH 2017 5K Charity Run/Walk.
